Mareike Standow

I want to help our clients to better understand the topic areas they are interested in and thus enable them to effectively improve their philanthropic giving.

Mareike started working at Beyond Philanthropy in 2016 and joint the team as analyst in March 2017. She supports Beyond Philanthropy’s research projects on various topics and has also been involved with our due diligence analyses. Additionally, Mareike has written Beyond Philanthropy’s first annual report.

Before joining Beyond Philanthropy, Mareike studied for a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with Psychology at Nottingham Law School and a Master’s Degree in Globalisation and Law at Maastricht University. During her studies, she focused especially on international human rights law and CSR, which has motivated her to come work for Beyond Philanthropy. In 2014, Mareike completed an internship at the NGO Brot für die Welt in Berlin, where she worked with corporate responsibility projects from a civil society perspective.

Why did you choose working for Beyond Philanthropy?

At Beyond Philanthropy, we are perfectly situated between the civil society and the corporate sector and have the privilege to get insights into both sectors. I especially value our creative and varied work on interesting topics and the day to day work with a motivated team.
