I am here to help individuals, foundations and corporations invest their resources in a way that creates maximum impact for society as well as themselves. My job is to provide high quality advice and support through researching, analysing and understanding new sectors and topics.
Gabriele is Senior Consultant at Beyond Philanthropy and has been with Beyond Philanthropy from its very beginning. She supports foundations and private donors in the development and implementation of grant-making strategies. In this context, Gabriele has worked with a number of family-led and corporate foundations on identifying, selecting and managing grants, mainly in the fields of education and health. Furthermore Gabriele has led research processes and co-authored reports and articles on various sectors, including topics like non-profit funding for journalism, the benefit of youth advisory councils, succession planning in family-led foundations and family philanthropy.
Before joining Beyond Philanthropy, Gabriele worked as a Project Manager at Active Philanthropy, where she focused on developing the Active Library, a knowledge platform on philanthropy and social investment. Prior to that, Gabriele was with the Bertelsmann Foundation for seven years, where she ran the foundation’s donor programs together with Felicitas von Peter. She also worked on the first national study on German donors (“Stiften in Deutschland”) and on a new platform aiming at connecting foundations and NGO’s in the area of youth. Gabriele also has experience in the private sector where she worked for different customer relationship programs managed by the Bertelsmann Corporation.
Gabriele studied Business Administration at Worms University of Applied Sciences and graduated as an Industrial Management Assistant at Bertelsmann. She co-authored articles in industry books and magazines such as “Stiftung & Sponsoring”.
I have always been drawn to companies and organisations promoting the well-being of society as a whole. I am convinced that the public, the private and the third sector can work together to effectively meet today’s global challenges. This interest, combined with a strong personal service mentality and a visionary leadership team made working for this organisation very appealing to me.
I worked as a group fitness instructor for years, so I certainly know more gyms than places to go out in Berlin.
