Siemens AG

A new approach to become a leader in social innovation.

Beyond Philanthropy helped Siemens develop a new global Corporate Citizenship strategy to position Siemens as social innovator leveraging technology and education for societal impact.

With almost 350,000 employees in over 190 countries, Siemens is one of the leading technology conglomerates in the world and a global powerhouse positioned along the entire electrification value chain.

Building on its long history as a globally active Corporate Citizen, Siemens wanted to further sharpen its Corporate Citizenship activities and raise its engagement to a new level to drive social innovation.

Jointly with Beyond Philanthropy and goetzpartners, Siemens developed a set of strategic Corporate Citizenship options, all of which are in line with the new United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a result, innovative and scalable solutions in technology and education are a particular area of focus.

A key element of Siemens’ Corporate Citizenship strategy will be to grow its global corporate volunteering programme to help drive and scale projects around the world.
